Why go

Gwangjang Market is one of Seoul’s oldest traditional markets, famous for its buzzing street-food alley.

Grab a stool for bindaetteok (mung-bean pancakes), mayak gimbap and other classics.

Opened in 1905, Gwangjang is one of Korea's first permanent markets. Alongside the food alley it's known for a big second-hand and vintage-fabric section upstairs, and its bindaetteok and mayak-gimbap stalls have turned it into a global food-tour favourite.
