• Come hungry — the food alleys are the highlight (try the hotteok and kalguksu).
• Haggling is normal for goods, less so for food.
• It's a short walk from Myeongdong and Seoul Station.
• Dive into the food alleys for hotteok, the 'noodle alley' kalguksu and galchi-jorim (braised hairtail); many stalls prefer cash, and it's an easy walk from Myeongdong and Seoul Station.
