Why go

Once an industrial area, Seongsu is now Seoul's coolest café and design district — converted warehouses, specialty roasteries and concept stores.

It's also where K-pop agencies and brands run a constant stream of pop-up stores, idol-themed cafés and photo events, which is why fans treat it as a must-visit.

Nicknamed 'Seoul's Brooklyn', the area was once a hub of shoe factories and metal workshops. From the mid-2010s its raw brick-and-concrete spaces were reborn as galleries, flagship stores and rooftop cafes, and SM Entertainment's headquarters and its KWANGYA@SEOUL store now anchor its constant K-pop pop-ups.
