Why go

The Tongyeong Cable Car climbs Mireuksan mountain, one of the longest such rides in the country, gliding over forest to a ridge-top station.

From the top, walkways lead to lookouts over the scattered islands of the Hallyeo Waterway.

The Hallyeosudo Viewing cable car runs about 1,975 m up Mireuksan, among the longest in Korea. From the ridge you look out over the islands of the Hallyeo Waterway, and on the clearest days as far as Japan's Tsushima; a luge track and a temple sit near the base.
