Why go

Huinnyeoul Culture Village clings to a cliff on Busan’s Yeongdo island, its white houses and narrow lanes looking straight out over the sea.

A coastal path runs below the village along the water’s edge.

The name means 'white rippling water', for streams that once ran down the cliffs. Nicknamed Busan's Santorini, the tightly stacked houses became famous as a film and drama location, and the seaside path below runs past little cafes carved into the base of the cliff.
