Why go

Taejongdae is a forested coastal park on the southern tip of Busan’s Yeongdo island, ringed by dramatic sea cliffs, a lighthouse and viewpoints over open water.

A road train loops the park for those who would rather not walk the whole hilly circuit.

The park is named after King Taejong Muyeol of Silla, who is said to have admired the view here. Its cliffs drop to the Sinseon Rock platform and a pebble beach, and on the clearest days the Japanese island of Tsushima can appear on the horizon.
